Here is your Friday Farm Flash & Back-to-School Special!

Great Weather Weekend!

Who is going to be out and about this weekend?

Are you heading to the Missouri State Fair?🎡 Back-to-School shopping?📚 Well, don't forget to grab some great food to throw on the grill!

How about some Sirloin Tip Steak

on SALE this weekend for $6 per pound!

Sirloin Tip Steak is the most tender of the round cuts and is perfect for marinating. So many fabulous and healthy ways to fix this tasty piece of beef. We love to make fajitas with fresh green peppers and onions as well as maridade it for kabobs on the grill.

Another favorite is Beef Sirloin Tip Steak with Garlic Butter Potatoes.

It is super easy, simply combine some garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cumin, cayenne pepper, salt & pepper and split the seasoning. Throw half of it in a bowl with the steak tips & some olive oil, stir & let marinate for about 15 min. While this is marinating peel & cube up some potatoes & sprinkle with the remaining spices. I usually throw these in the oven for about 15 min and while those are cooking I cook my steak in my cast iron skillet with a bit of added oil for about 2-3 min on each side. You will want to take the steak out before it is completely cooked and set aside. I then throw the potatoes in, add some butter & minced garlic and cook on medium heat for about 10 min. I will then add the meat back into the skillet with more butter and cook until heated through. SO YUMMY!

As for veggies from the garden, we will have lots of tomatoes, both cherry and slicing. Roma's are also hitting hard and we may have some of those. We will have a few canteloupe and maybe a watermelon or two. Cucumbers are almost done but I will have slicing cucs as well as green peppers and some jalapenos. Make sure you get their early!

In other news, we are already receiving orders for chicken. If you want fresh chicken on the 31st please let me know by email or text message ASAP! 🍗

We love hearing from our fabulous farm family and as we have been busy planting the fall garden we would love to know what you are looking forward to. I have more spinach, lettuce, swiss chard & carrots growing. Will finish with brasicas, beets & turnips!

Several classes & group coaching sessions will be starting up again soon, so if you are interested in finding out more about them or there is something you would like to learn let me know. One of the first will be learning how to make broth, both chicken and beef. You will learn how to can it for shelf stability or freeze it for use all winter long. The health benefits and flavor cannot be beat! Class sizes will be limited as they are held in my home.

DON'T FORGET...I deliver to town on Monday mornings if you can't make it to the Boonville Farmer's Market on Saturday, put your order in now and I will meet you at 9 in the BFM Parking Lot!

Wholesome Food You Can TRUST, Teach You How to Live Closer to Nature the Way God Intended and Help You Weed out the Overwhelm and Stress to Live a More Peaceful and Productive Life!

Life with a dairy cow

Dear Farm Family, This isn’t our usual farm update, and I apologize if I get a bit long-winded. You may want to skip this one, but I’m writing for those who’ve cared so deeply, asked about her, and supported us through this time—for her patient “milk” customers, and, honestly, for myself. I don’t often do this. To be completely open, I’m heartbroken. The grief has hit me harder than I expected, and I’m overwhelmed by the beautiful life I shared with Lucy, all she taught me, and the deep ache...
